In Kähler geometry, especially in the study of Kähler—Einstein metrics, a special class of geodesic rays in the space of Kähler potentials introduced by Berman—Boucksom—Jonsson, known as maximal geodesic rays plays an important role. In this talk, I will explain how Legendre transforms translate problems of geodesic rays into pluripotential-theoretic problems. I will talk about new characterizations of maximal geodesic rays obtained in this way.
