Two issues regarding the Gap Hypothesis and classifying smooth group actions will be discussed:
- The relation between equivariant and isovariant homotopy equivalence when this hypothesis fails.
- Generalizations of results on classification up to finite ambiguity as in the work of Rothenberg and Triantafillou.
